“Halves Unwholed”
Young and dumb we grew unseen
born of mumbling stumbles shared,
from heights unknown we fell blind
caress-endeared and ceaseless-bound.
Flame untamed for tempered frost
endure we ever attuned,
other more trusted than the self
lay lion with lamb we do.
Chance-brushed in a sea so vast
now fate we know exists,
this love borne ’til time undone
when halves once whole again.
